Motion Control Engineering (MCE) has enjoyed a history of innovation, rapid growth, and success. Job Description

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

  • Performs complicated and difficult software engineering assignments in support of custom design requirements under no supervision, with latitude for independent action and decision.
  • Analyzes, evaluates, and plans methods of approach to organize the means in achieving solutions of difficult technical problems.
  • Completes all steps of the software modification process for legacy MCE elevator controller products, as well as select current product lines. Identifies, isolates, corrects, and verifies change requests, and supports further validation by the Product Release Group.
  • Collaborates with customers, Hardware Engineering, Technical Support, Sales, Research and Development, Test, and Production personnel to ensure project quality and completion, accomplishing technical design requirements and customer requested guidelines.
  • Analyzes, evaluates, and plans methods of approach to organize workload and satisfy timelines affecting company objectives and customer requirements.
  • Provides technical guidance to lower-level engineers and technicians. Supports engineering management by aiding in job assignment and workflow through the Software Sustainment Department. Provides engineering management with technical job performance assessment for lower-level engineers and technicians.

WHAT WE LIKE ABOUT YOU

  • Requires a BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics.
  • 5 to 10 years of applicable engineering experience or two years of education related to software/electronic/elevator technology and 15 plus years of applicable engineering experience. This must include extensive software development work using the C programming language.
  • Experience in Intel MCS-51 family and related microcontroller software development is highly desirable, as is experience in embedded software, and hardware familiarity, as well as experience in Delphi Windows application development.
  • Must be a team player with good verbal and written communication skills, detail oriented, multi-tasking, and flexible.
